There are actually two Yoshida buildings makai-side of the famed Matsumoto's Shaved Ice store in Hale'iwa town. The building next to Matsumoto's is where Country Surfboards featured Dick Brewer shaped surfboards, who, to this day, is still one of surfings most sought after shapers. Country Surfboards and Dick Brewer pintail big wave guns were an integral cornerstone in the 1960's northshore surf scene.
Today, these building house a taste of chic cafes and boutiques. |
