At the corner of Kamehameha Hwy. and Paalaa St., Hale'iwa Theatre once welcomed you into sleepy Hale'iwa town. Set back from the street, the facade was fronted by a spacious parking lot and a row of billboard posters announcing the latest movies or north shore happenings. Although there was movement to restore this aging landmark, change has since given way to McDonalds and the 7-11 chain stores. Currently the McDonalds is still in business while the building 7-11 occupied is up for lease. DY
