In the old days, Kamo'ili'ili (Mo'ili'ili)was known for its flowers that were grown to supply the popular lei stands on Maunakea Street in chinatown. It was only a matter of time that growers started their own lei and flower stands in this area. Today, the agricultural lands have given way to urban development, but, there still exist a handful of flower and lei stands along this short section of South King Street.
